Yes, you’re looking at it—I know, I know it doesn’t look like much right now, but that there is the Love Shack, or what’s left of it anyway.

What started out as The Shoppe— a place for my madre to get her designing and sewing done in peace, slowly but surely  turned into the chill spot where family and friends could crash on the couch, play video games and down Welch’s juice drinks, a bag cheesy doodles or two, and even grab a paint brush and Picasso the walls.

Yet, for Frank and I what is now known today as the Love Shack will always have a special place in our hearts. Now don’t go getting your undies in a bunch this isn’t your typical “shackin’ up” type of shack . . . even though that has always been the biggest pun.

“We’ve been miles apart, but there was never any space between us” – Winter 2015

With 280 plus miles between us and every dime needed for saving Love Shack became our primary escape for our lovetrips. With the inside set up like a rustic studio apartment we survived two harsh winters and exhausting summers on in love, one wedded and both apart.

Prior to moving back to Maryland in August, during our year long split, the Love Shack was my hideaway from the world for the majority of 2015. I moved everything I needed out there for those days and nights I just needed clearing of my mental and heart-to-hearts with Frank. It was my refuge to collect my thoughts and refocus my energies.

I figured I couldn’t bid farewell, so long until we meet again to Good Ole’ Mountain Thunder for starting one helluva LoveTrip and not do the same for our saving grace.

Love You All!
