“Develop the power of listening”

—Egypt plucks: one shoe on digging in the teaspiration jar, 30 minutes late for the 9-5.

That little voice keeps bleating in my ear, “Wake up. You’re going to be late . . . your phone is still not charging . . . have you picked out your clothes yet? Frank’s already left, why are you reaching for him :-/?    That alarm clock does not work        c’mon E, we went through this yesterday . . . you’re killing me up here…”

When you focus on the power of listening, you don’t just stop at listening to other human beings. Pause on that.         No, we must develop the power of listening to other people, our own individual consciousnesses or higher selves, and our shared environment, the surrounding Universe.

3 Listening Points to Manifest Healthy Universal Relationships

  1. Develop the power of listening to your Higher Self (your consciousness): Before you attempt to become an expert at listening to anyone or anything—you must first learn to listen to yourself. If you cannot listen to YOU—please explain to me how you are planning to effectively listen to someone else? Don’t ignore yourself! ←When you ignore yourself it’s pretty fxckin’ sad—similar to my disappointed drag from the bed this morning… No one knows you better than you! but you have to know this for yourself. Take some time out to talk to yourself, question yourself. Yes, I said talk to yourself, question yourself . . . and ignore anyone who said, “never answer yourself because you’ll look like a crazy person.” Well, I’m sorry, I’d rather look crazy, psycho or whatever while talking and responding to myself if the alternative is living my entire life waiting for others to validate my life’s perspective.               Read: “Heart of Living”

  2. Develop the power of listening to other people: You don’t always have to agree with someone to truly listen to what they have to say. Remember, you can always sift their offerings like wheat. You, like I, feel as if our thoughts, experiences, beliefs, opinions and words are valuable and valid. Don’t we all feel this way at some point or another? Yes, we do. But why? Because we have all lived lives which resonate first and foremost with each of us respectively. That premise established, you desire people to listen to you when you speak and rationalize your understandings of life—be sure to give others the same respect and attentiveness, and you’ll be surprised how much you learn from others and how much more many will be willing to learn from you . .  .“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.”― George Bernard Shaw

  3. Develop the power of listening to the Universe: Nature speaks, and from its mouth comes nothing but truth and a perfect, but ever-changing reflection of current times. Nature, like all things life, is powered by the Universe. The Universe feeds off of our collective thoughts, words, actions, and deeds. If you feed the Universe vibrations, energies, and frequencies that are not in alignment with the great grand and holy plan then you will have a hard time functioning in your daily transitions and happenings. Spend at least 5 minutes per day doing absolutely nothing except sitting, standing or lying in the midst of nature. Take in the sweet sounds, the unfamiliar sounds, the eerie sounds, the happy sounds . . . just be one with nature long enough to develop your physical, mental and spiritual ears.

Listen. Tune in.
