Steadiness comes from character and commitment.

—Egypt & Frank singing …out with the old …

Character comes from personality which flows from mind—and your mind can either be an accurate or inaccurate representation of your soul and its magnificent purpose…yes, yes I know, that poor dead horse. Your soul is saying remember you are to be an altruistic reflection of health so put down that extra cherry tart and that toxic soda pop—but your personality says “OMG, but just a little bit more won’t hurt.” The truth is a little bit more will hurt. What? Why? How? …because you’ve probably said to yourself many times before “I’m going to stop purchasing things I do not need”…and you still go out each weekend for that new outfit. Subconsciously, you are saying to your soul its purpose, your purpose does not matter as much as the minuscule wants of your ever indecisive mind—personality, character.

Commitment begins within your mind. When your mind is dancing or is wholeheartedly attempting to dance in sync or coherence with your soul—commiting to an act with purpose becomes less strenuous and less complicated. Once you make the conscious-minded decision to put down the extra tart or to put back that unnecessary pair of shoes you reward your soul immensely. Your mind and your soul for at least that moment are pulled into alignment. You have declared and proclaimed that you acknowledge and reverence purpose and your path to purpose is fixed and stable.

The more your character and your commitment begin to reflect your soul’s purpose the steadier your walk, your journey will become.
