The difference between a flower and a weed is a judgment.— so said Someone

Frank &  Egypt pondering sleep deprivation

They underestimated you. And you sold yourself short.

You thought because they all bloomed with colors of pastels and the summer spectrum that their rose blossoms all smelled of lavender and lilac,

and that your bare green stems and your lack of florals were an abomination of the highest sort to that which was said to be truly majestic.

So,      you hid yourself from the Sun.

The nights grew longer             as the seasons began to pass,

and great Phoebus’ beams shrank shorter and colder.

Yet, still—in the dead winter, through ice and chill you rose to meet Ra’s risings—above the now stemless petals and that great multitude of dormant ovules.

You are divinely created—you are an ace in its place, necessary you are. Remain necessary my Loves.
