I slowly started to realize that each time Frank showed up to my apartment for drinks he appeared to be preoccupied. However, I never gave it much thought back then: after all he was just a friend Nique’s and merely an acquaintance of mine.
Nonetheless, a small part of me always wanted to know why he kept coming over for drinks that he never intended to finished. It wasn’t until we had been together for about two years that I actually inquired about his ulterior motives.
Denise from Frankly Speaking, another homegirl Nique and Frank were all Mass Communications majors. Prior to meeting me they had all form a brother/sisters bond after starting together as freshman a year behind me. Consider it fate or what have you, but Denise, Nique and I all ended up in the school’s gospel choir together.
July 13th 2015 marked Frank and I’s 1 year anniversary being married under our nation’s flag. September 14th 2015 marked our 4 year anniversary as a couple—and believe it or not in the mist of life we have yet to celebrate either anniversary. Each year days or weeks after the date has passed one of us will say with a laugh or chuckle “hey babe we forgot our anniversary. . . again.”
So in honor of our missed anniversaries tomorrow is all about how Frank and I actually started this this quirky lovetrip back in the Fall 2011.
Peace & Always Love
As Frank and I approach a crucial transitioning point in life and love (more on that when the time is right) our external stresses begin to rise like ominous smoke clouds from every direction.
I am not the type to fold under extreme pressure. Nevertheless, I do possess a notable habit of having catastrophic melt downs here and there or over-the-top mental explosions, but I always figure out a way to regain my sanity and push forward.
