The Art of Vanishing

Life—as you and I know it exists to manifest a stronger, wiser, more righteous and refined YOU…allow life to love you.

Hide-n-go-seek with Uname [the four great winds]

Going away, disappearing from the visual conception of others near and far—I like to believe this is one of the most magnificent abilities of all living beings. Even trees and flowers and grasses have their own unique timing and ways of disappearing. When I ponder the absurdity of making such a statement I am instantly reminded of Grandmother Willow in our backyard whose hanging branches dance so lovely adorned in their ambient, almost florescent, green leaves during Wehe Ehimpe and Wehe Pima. Then Autumn rears her golden months and Mother’s leaves descend to meet the ever-forgiving ground—and although her branches still dance about the cool winds of Tañyi and the bitter winds of Wenani, one could stare from the height of her balcony covered in snow and almost miss Motha’s elegant shiftings. Yet, she never uproots herself, travels or relocates—but remains ever still and firm upon her square amongst a plethora of vanishing greens. Continue reading “Journal #2”

I once hated the journey into the concrete jungle…

for many more reasons than one…traffic, smog, occupation—desk jobs and endless cubicles—the mere sight of brethern, sistern hidden beneath gifted mountains of old blankets, the birds cycling and swarming in a ball, a mass of polluted confusion…and then one day the skyscraper rising slowy but surely like a mirror into the troposhere above Light Street spoke to me—said this is why you landed here—like vapors, like flames, like OMs you know you, they, we, all will rise higher than the vibration of concrete.

Love is Free

I’m going to love you whether you love me in return or hate me. This is the charge, this is the task I bear—no matter how awful one may appear I know in the great grand scheme of life and existence she or he is forever a representation and a being of love because all that manifest from within the realm of Human Beings is equated to love whether welcomed or shunned.

Hate me, bash me, turn from me … I will still love you—from a distance, set by you, grand or small. I will still love you because no matter how far our hearts’ understandings are apart we are forever one in the beginning and in the end. You are a perfect reflection of I be that reflection positive or negative, there is no separating our unity. Whether you or I go against the flow of time bears no matter—we are still higher or lower reflections of self. This is all good, this is all love. Until we are one free in love, I can only have faith to be free, hope to be free and love to be free.

The Art of Breaking

Your picture perfect tomorrow requires your shattered today.
You need to accept yourself broken, even in a zillion scattered pieces, before you can appreciate yourself mending, and finally whole.

Perspective — Pick Your Potion

The Religious will read these words and pull from them messages from their mighty and benevolent Provider/s. The Thinkers will find within the lines many shiftings of paradigms for their minds to navigate. The Spiritualists will draw from in between the lines spirit food to be devoured and expelled as good energy. The Scientists will analyze the elements and components—the inputs—of these streams of consciousness and find the necessary factors to devise their desired output. Continue reading “Journal #1”

Blood, Muddy Water, and Naturalized Soup - LoveTrips™

Blood bound, muddy water and naturalized soup

it don’t matter—it’s all love, all familia, tribe.

We know, blood is thicker than water, and that soup can be served very thin. Yet, sometimes the extra contents of a body of water or bowl of soup can make blood almost irrelevant if you can catch my drift.

See being bound by blood to someone or someones is something I can never change—neither can you. However, relationships with your blood bound can change. Fortunately or unfortunately, many relationships do change, and some never do…some remain tight from day one, some continue to grow stronger with each passing year, others dissipate slowly or rapidly into distance. So while we may be bound by blood and have sense of obligation to a person, a love that cannot be severed by its very nature, we may not have the close ties regardless of how hard we try to force ourselves upon each other—and in the grand scheme of things as wrong as this may seem, it’s always divine, always righteous. I provided you help…

When in doubt I consult God.

Many nights I have slumbered in hopes of rising with my clarity—only to wake with more confusion. Often unbeknownst to me, the Almighty has spoken, loud and clear, just not directly to I. So when I take counsel in my King’s light he almost always blesses my spirit with his wisdom, his peace—and in the shallows of his deep, I find my own. Continue reading “I provided you help…”

black belts and #rebelflags | Things my Didd’a Taught Me.

I stomped a child out on the blacktop back in kindergarten one time ’cause he said that his dad could beat my dad in a Karate match; turned out, his daddy and my daddy were good friends, even taught Karate in the same building for years—knew Karate was more about the ability to harness the power of your own spirit than the like of your two fists or your two feet—had nothing to do with competition because true power was derived from within—the ability to control not your opponent, but yourself—long story short, we are old friends now.

Love Yourself Enough to Fear Nothing | #TeaspirationThursday

There is nothing more precious than self-trust.

—Many days you will face fears, but in those times know that fear never derives from the fact that you cannot or will not. Fear derives only from the place of you have yet to.

Both Frank and I once shared common “fears”…the fears of pausing to catch our breath, taking water breaks during our marathons, and savoring the sweet smell of florals that run along the course of our respective life paths. Consequently, we often find ourselves crashing…pretty hard too, one after another and sometimes together. Yet, our true fear is never really the taking of breaks—no, that is fleshly, mental or secondary.
