LoveTrips - Nightmare Before Christmas - Sew It Up

You’re So Worth the Stitches and Duck Tape

You’re a fighter
Weapons from somewhere higher
They light up when you’re closer
If God says it’s not over…

—”Over” – Kirk Franklin

Yes, I know—
your life might look pretty fxcked up right now,
but it is your beautifully crafted screwed-up life—and you’re still alive to live it…so get up, off your bum and on to strutting with your head held high: makeshift bandages,
dusty stitches
and whatever else it takes my Loves! Continue reading “You’re So Worth the Stitches and Duck Tape”

LoveTrips BLOG - Forget about God

Forget about God…

…for a moment, and look at yourself in the mirror as that which you truly are: god-in-body—being-in-flesh.

Think of your Provider as your individualized higher self. I mean seriously, how else would the Almighty be able to keep tabs on all of us unless She/He/They left a bit of peculiar divinity in each of us…You and I—one-half Human, one-half God-being…woke or slumbering—eh, still God. Wedding vs Marriage?¿ —#WeddedWednesday|#BrokeandBougie

Wedding vs Marriage?¿ —#WeddedWednesday|#BrokeandBougie

“I don’t really want to marry you, I just want a lavish wedding…”  said someone somewhere boldy mmm…or possibly in confidence. . .

I’m not sure what’s gotten into people nowadays, but we have an annoying tendency to insist on putting the cart before the horse. We rush down the aisle…and sometimes it is simply for the purpose of saying “We’s married now!” The sad truth is—just because you performed a wedding ceremony and exchanged vows does not necessarily constitute that you are indeed married. Sorry, but not sorry to rain on anyone’s parade—eh, it rained own our wedding day, and I couldn’t have been more elated. Continue reading “Wedding vs Marriage?¿ —#WeddedWednesday|#BrokeandBougie”

Loveology 101 — Step VII: When praises go up, blessings come down

Loveology 101 — Step VII: When praises go up, blessings come down

“It is only when you are grateful for all that you have that you will be open to receive all that your heart desires.”

Your walk is your praise. And when you walk your walk with a smile and your head held high—the Universe, your Provider gets stupid-dumb excited and impulsively starts showering down gifts—opportunities, resources, souls, hearts, understanding, overstanding, peace and so much more in abundance to make your journey smoother and more enjoyable.

See, while you are busy walking your walk and taking on all the challenges and obstacles that come along with your dedication the Universe will be shifting purposefully. The Universe by design is an intricately self-constructed design. The Universe as we know scientifically and imaginatively is an ever-expanding living collective. Thus, being forever subject to the law of transmutation [of Energy], Universe is always in a constant state of change.

You loving your walk enough to strive forward with courage, determination, and perseverance produce high vibrations within the Universe, divinely interrupting the weaving process of your Provider—sort of like a “Hey God pause for a sec! look at me, I’m loving my journey through life…” moment. Yet, would you have guessed that Source never stops weaving…instead, Universe begins to stitch your high vibrations into the fabric of its infinite quilt by repurposing threads from all of those low vibrations which sought to bring you back to or into a miserable or unprogressive state.

So don’t stop walking! jogging, running, skipping, hopping, limping, or rolling if you must. ^_^ Every step you take with the intentions of getting closer to your heart’s greatest desires is being transformed behind the scenes of life into a to be welcomed test and/or all inclusive reward for the benefit and elevation of you.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

Loveology 101 — Step VI: Pitstops, Timeouts and Play Resets

Even the great Dale Earnhardt Sr. knew when to pull ole’ No. 3 in for pitstop

Your map, your plan could truly look flawless! eh, but you my Love in Human form are not, so be prepared for some stumbles, falls and maybe a skinned knee or two. I really pray you nothing less than all good fortune and a smooth ride…but I’m not going to be that truth sugarcoater and have you trying to burn me at the stake if you hit a land mine that was uncharted.

Sometimes those landmines were the result of you not surveying the landscape well enough before you laid out your map. Other times, these landmines are placed along our paths by other people, and other factors—ultimately the result of Source or Universe’s shifting.

Clearview

Time to take a timeout before you reset the play clock. You might be slightly shaken, or the blast from the mine could have cost you a lot more than you bargained for—either way, you need to get yourself together and back on your feet. It’s hard to maintain a God’s-Eye View lying on the ground surrounded by devastation. Actually, I’m pretty certain the Almighty wouldn’t be lollygagging around in an apocalypse—more like regrouping, taking inventory and figuring out the best way to get back to the map and back on track.

During your time out REFLECT! Really make good use of the moment of restrategizing and clearing your mind. Something caused that mine to go off…was it something you did during this journey, or maybe it was mine you long since forgot existed. When we pull ourselves away from our emotions and feelings we give ourselves time to realize we sat ourselves up to fall minutes, days, months and/or years before we started our current journeying.

Example: You decided you needed a new career and completed Steps 1-5, but you hit a landmine. You have 24 hours to submit an official copy of your college transcript for consideration for your dream job…but you cannot submit it because you never paid for the unreturned library books you borrow 5 years ago, and you owe your Alma Mater five hundred federal reserve notes before they will lift the hold and issue your official transcript—the process will take 48 hours.

See, nothing that happens to us Here on Earth happens out of order. Our individual response times are often simply out of whack, and thus, we tend to fall victim to blaming the Universe or our individual Providers for our own KARMA—what goes around comes around.

Rest Easy, Rest Well

It’s okay to need and to take a breather. Everyone needs a moment to recenter their focus, reorganize life, love, career, home and so on. Do all that you need to do to regain your confidence, strength, and sight of your end goals. Nonetheless, stay active even while resting. Use your thoughts and desires as fuel to keep yourself from growing complacent with your resting phase. Pitstops are quick! at worst 15 seconds in a Nascar pit stop to change four tires and top of the tank…last time I checked you were a vehicle, a vessel of many sorts with a brilliant array of muses to assist you along your journey.

You desire that which your heart desires, make sure you both receive what is righteously yours by taking the time to rest, recoup and apply the necessary repairs to your vehicle and the necessary adjustments to your life, your map, and your journey.
