Even the great Dale Earnhardt Sr. knew when to pull ole’ No. 3 in for pitstop
Your map, your plan could truly look flawless! eh, but you my Love in Human form are not, so be prepared for some stumbles, falls and maybe a skinned knee or two. I really pray you nothing less than all good fortune and a smooth ride…but I’m not going to be that truth sugarcoater and have you trying to burn me at the stake if you hit a land mine that was uncharted.
Sometimes those landmines were the result of you not surveying the landscape well enough before you laid out your map. Other times, these landmines are placed along our paths by other people, and other factors—ultimately the result of Source or Universe’s shifting.
Time to take a timeout before you reset the play clock. You might be slightly shaken, or the blast from the mine could have cost you a lot more than you bargained for—either way, you need to get yourself together and back on your feet. It’s hard to maintain a God’s-Eye View lying on the ground surrounded by devastation. Actually, I’m pretty certain the Almighty wouldn’t be lollygagging around in an apocalypse—more like regrouping, taking inventory and figuring out the best way to get back to the map and back on track.
During your time out REFLECT! Really make good use of the moment of restrategizing and clearing your mind. Something caused that mine to go off…was it something you did during this journey, or maybe it was mine you long since forgot existed. When we pull ourselves away from our emotions and feelings we give ourselves time to realize we sat ourselves up to fall minutes, days, months and/or years before we started our current journeying.
Example: You decided you needed a new career and completed Steps 1-5, but you hit a landmine. You have 24 hours to submit an official copy of your college transcript for consideration for your dream job…but you cannot submit it because you never paid for the unreturned library books you borrow 5 years ago, and you owe your Alma Mater five hundred federal reserve notes before they will lift the hold and issue your official transcript—the process will take 48 hours.
See, nothing that happens to us Here on Earth happens out of order. Our individual response times are often simply out of whack, and thus, we tend to fall victim to blaming the Universe or our individual Providers for our own KARMA—what goes around comes around.
Rest Easy, Rest Well
It’s okay to need and to take a breather. Everyone needs a moment to recenter their focus, reorganize life, love, career, home and so on. Do all that you need to do to regain your confidence, strength, and sight of your end goals. Nonetheless, stay active even while resting. Use your thoughts and desires as fuel to keep yourself from growing complacent with your resting phase. Pitstops are quick! at worst 15 seconds in a Nascar pit stop to change four tires and top of the tank…last time I checked you were a vehicle, a vessel of many sorts with a brilliant array of muses to assist you along your journey.
You desire that which your heart desires, make sure you both receive what is righteously yours by taking the time to rest, recoup and apply the necessary repairs to your vehicle and the necessary adjustments to your life, your map, and your journey.
