“Develop the power of listening”
—Egypt plucks: one shoe on digging in the teaspiration jar, 30 minutes late for the 9-5.
That little voice keeps bleating in my ear, “Wake up. You’re going to be late . . . your phone is still not charging . . . have you picked out your clothes yet? Frank’s already left, why are you reaching for him :-/? That alarm clock does not work c’mon E, we went through this yesterday . . . you’re killing me up here…”
When you focus on the power of listening, you don’t just stop at listening to other human beings. Pause on that. No, we must develop the power of listening to other people, our own individual consciousnesses or higher selves, and our shared environment, the surrounding Universe.
I am beautiful,
I am bountiful,
I am blissful.
—Egypt rises to one of nature’s many surprises
Opens curtains. “Good Morning! my friend…oh, wow—you’re getting big fast. . . ” Snaps photo to send to Frankie baby; pauses for a moment of realization. “Wait. There are no trees growing next to our home . . .could you be. . .
Never allow anyone to classify you as someone or something you are not. Know you will forever be who and what you are meant to be. Others may try to force their beliefs, thoughts, opinions, and visions about your future onto you. . . but be still like the stalk of grass that gave no fxcks that Egypt and Frank classified it as a tree. Know that when you are in the darkness, barricaded by walls on every side there is always sunlight somewhere above you. Be determined to break through any and every obstacle or barrier which rises before you in order to reach the light that has been summoning you since the day you left your mahadrah’s womb. Be like that stalk and those fragile leaves…mighty as a great sycamore, determined to rise.
“The universe is the stage on which you dance, guided by your heart.”
—Egypt’s search for direction ends abruptly.
No one can stop you.
No one can stop you from dancing for rain if you so choose to dance for rain. Your mind is your only gauge of how far you are able to travel through and in this life. You are the only person who can stifle the noise only you have the potential to make. You are the only person who can sell yourself short. You are the only being who can make you believe that you are not able or capable of accomplishing or achieving something grander than your present. Although others may try to convince you that you are powerless in your pursuit of changing your atmospheric pressure—it is and will forever be only you who can continue to dance to the sounds and measures of such negativity.
Listen only! to those who insist that you can do all that your mind can envision in your due and just time.
Listen to the universe surrounding you—telling you, encouraging you, and uplifting you to believe in the power of your very own rain dance.
Jahla many times My Loves,
Do you! Kings & Queens . . .
Live your life. Eh, it’s that simple, and all that you truly desire will slowly, but surely come into fruition for you and yours. So, I had to grab a throwback for my 2016 song of motivation. . .

Yesterday, I closed my eyes, reached into our #Teaspiration jar, and I said to the universe and all of my celestial consorts “give me something that not only I need, but something we all need.” I wiggle my fingers around in the hodgepodge of teabag tags smiling like a child in a candy store. I plucked from the jar the first one that found its way between my index and middle fingers. I flipped it over, and there in my hands I found “comfort”; nothing more, nothing less. — Egypt’s musing
